Container Fruit Growing Success

🪴 Container & Soil

Use large containers with excellent drainage. Most berries prefer acidic soil. Use ericaceous mix for blueberries.

☀️ Sunlight

Fruits need 6-8 hours minimum. Southern exposure ideal. Some berries tolerate partial shade.

💧 Watering

Keep soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Berries especially need regular moisture during fruiting.

🌱 Fertilizing

Feed monthly during growing season. Use balanced fertilizer. Reduce nitrogen to encourage fruiting.

✂️ Pruning

Most berries fruit on one-year-old canes. Prune old canes in winter. Remove dead wood.

🐝 Pollination

Most fruits can self-pollinate. Attract bees with flowers nearby. Hand-pollinate if needed.
